Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world. In 2017, it won awards for the best large ship and best entertainment. This cruise ship has 16 decks, 25 dining options (most are complimentary, use your ship credits with the other restaurants), and 7 distinct neighborhoods. While this is a very large ship, its activities and distinct neighborhoods breaks it up enough, so one doesn’t feel overwhelmed by its size or fellow passengers.
One of the unique cruise ship neighborhoods is the foliage-filled Central Park with thousands of plants and dozens of green trees. This area also is host to more upscale restaurants and retail hubs, like in New York City. Another neighborhood is the Royal Promenade, which is about the length of a football field. This is also the “main street” area of the ship where Karaoke takes place, DreamWorks Parade along with many other group and family fun-filled activities. The Boardwalk neighborhood was inspired by Coney Island. Here you will find shops, a carousel, family-friendly restaurants, a rock climbing wall, and the awe-inspiring Aqua Theatre.
Deck 4 is the Entertainment Place that includes indoor ice skating along with clubs and lounges. Deck 6 and 7 is the fitness and spa. Deck 15 is the sports area that includes the FlowRider surf simulators, zipline, mini-golf, ping-pong, and basketball. All of these activities are available at no extra cost. CRUISE TIP: If you want to partake of the award-winning Broadway shows or aqua theatre, be sure to make your reservations early. These shows and the aqua theatre fill up quickly!
Although this is one of the largest ships in the world, you will rarely feel that it is crowded. The only locations where you can sense the crowd on the ship is in the Royal Promenade during parade times, pool deck, and prime time at the Windjammer Cafe. Meanwhile, if you want some alone time visit Central Park and sit under a tree or visit the adult only Solarium during the day (at night it turns into an adults only European disco).

We live in such an awesome time and we are all so lucky to be a part of this technological boom. The concept of leaving the cubicle is truly a reality and evidence is backing it up in all aspects from better production, happier and more satisfied employees, and less overhead for the company.
